The Pittsburgh Panthers landed a solid power forward on Thursday, as 6-foot-9, 220 pound Bryce Golden announced he would be joining the Panthers.
It is actually the first commitment for Kevin Stallings, as Golden is ranked as a four-star product by 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 79 player in the nation for 2018 and the 3rd best player in the state of Maryland.
On Thursday, he announced over social media, saying:
“First of all, I’d like to start off by saying thanks to all the schools that have recruited me over the last year or so, all of which gave me an opportunity to extend my athletic/ academic career. I would also like to thank my parents, brother, family, and coaches for having my back throughout the process. Each teaching me a lesson that I will keep for the rest of my life. After many talks and conversations with the people close to me. I’d like to commit to the University of Pittsburgh. I firmly believe in what Coach Stallings is building and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Golden also held offers from Texas Tech, Seton Hall, Temple, St. Joseph’s, Penn State, Clemson, Richmond, James Madison, George Washington, Maryland, Davidson, UCF, and NC State.
